Primeau Productions would like to ask an important question: Is video an important part of your marketing strategy? If not, it probably should be. Across America, video, in some form is used by about 91-percent of all industries.
Whether the business hails from Libertyville, South Carolina or Liberty Township in New Jersey or is somehow connected to the New York Liberty basketball team of the WNBA, somewhere along the line, video is being directly or indirectly used.
Marketing Strategy
When market researchers first asked businesses in 2015 if video was an important pasr of their marketing strategy, 78-percent answered “yes.” By 2023, that number climbed to 96-percent. In fact, during the “pandemic years,” video as an important part of marketing was consistently above 90-percent. In 2024, it has dipped to around 85-percent but is again holding steady. The numbers are consistent no matter the region of the country.
Primeau Productions is a full-service video production enterprise for South Carolina and parts of Georgia. Yet, the quality of our video production from script to screen is on a par with video production enterprises in major markets such as New York or Chicago. Why? Because it must be.
The internet has brought with it “a flattening.” A current or future customer might click on a search engine, let’s say for a South Carolina home or commercial builder. The websites that appear compete on the basis of creativity, quality, content (including message), endorsements and similar “assets.” Video is guaranteed to be a part of that strategy. Video conveys professionalism and makes for a tremendous initial meeting.
Why? Because nothing connects with an audience better than video.
In a similar fashion, let’s follow a couple of travelers on a motor trip through South Carolina and Georgia. Now somewhere along the line, perhaps in Athens, Georgia, one of those travelers might lose a filling while eating BBQ (it happens!) and will be in need of a reputable dentist. Without a doubt, they will search the internet for a dentist. They will come across providers and most often will view a practice “explainer video,” or video endorsements by actual patients. In that case, video is comforting and inviting. A friendly dentist explaining their background, approach and overall concern will get the nod.
What is a business?
One of the most common points of resistance to using video that Primeau Productions has heard is “our business is too small,” or “our industry is hard to explain.” Primeau Productions never uses “high pressure” or other sales techniques.
Even the smallest businesses rely on video, from dog groomers to catnip toy manufacturers. Often small businesses refer potential customers or clients to industry videos seen on YouTube or similar social media platforms.
However, “business” does not have to imply a for profit enterprise. For example, churches routinely employ video, as do associations, schools or charities. Video offers unbelievable opportunities for connection and growth, from a pastor reaching out to those in need, to a gardening club looking to connect with area farmer’s markets.
So, what is your business, what is your marketing strategy?
Consider video to enhance your “business,” no matter the business, and to help you market your product or service. Video is where your customers or clients or members or even where your parishioners may be. They want to see you, hear from you and learn from you. There is a reason why 9 out of 10 “businesses” value video. Let Primeau Productions help you discover the video world.
